General Questions

  • Single origin means that all of our spices are capable of being traced back to a single area of production from a single farm or cooperative of farmers. Our spices are collected from farms surrounding Kandy, Sri Lanka

  • We started building a direct trade model that connected spice farmers in Sri Lanka with home cooks and professional chefs in the US. Both founders are from Sri Lanka and grew up in spice farming families.

  • We are based in the metro area of Chicago, IL

  • Yes, Our jars are made from glass which can be recycled. And we recommend buying pouches and refilling the glass jars.

  • Yes, all our spices are naturally gluten-free.

Product Information

  • We don't brand our spices as Organic. But our spices are entirely free from pesticides and chemicals. While our partners haven't pursued USDA organic certification due to its significant expense and lengthy four-year process, we are exploring the possibility of obtaining the certifications as we maintain our partnerships.

  • Store your spices in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, to maintain their freshness and potency.

  • Our spices typically have a shelf life up to 2 years if stored properly.

Ordering and Shipping

  • You can place an order directly through our website. Simply add the desired products to your cart and proceed to checkout.

  • We do not offer international shipping currently.

  • Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on your location and the weight of your order.

  • Shipping times vary by location, but domestic orders typically arrive within 3-5 business days, while international orders may take 7-14 business days.

    For Items with free shipping (Vanilla Beans) will arrive between 5-8 business days.

  • Yes, once your order has shipped, you will receive a tracking number via email.

Returns and Refunds
